Thomas GRAHAM was born in Rockliffe around 1837.  He was a farm servant and was the son of Thomas.  

George HASTIE was also born here, his birth being around 1848.  He became a railway porter and lived in Hayton in Cumberland by 1881.

Both of these men married into the LIGHTFOOT family.  

Rockcliffe is a village close to Carlisle.
